Title: Humming to Hummel

Gender: Female

Location: Hot. United States

About Me:

Hey this is Babs. I'm an average-extraordinary human being with an open heart and mind to everything around me. I'm a writer, a thinker, a dreamer, a pacifier, a risk-taker, and a communicator. But most importantly, I'm a musician. I've played guitar for about four years now, and have made around two or three complete albums of songs in that time. But my main instrument is bassoon.

I love bassoon.

I talk about bassoon, I think about bassoon, I dream, wonder, revolve my life, and love everything about bassoon.

I spend my days holed up in my studio, practicing and having play dates with my closest friends: Hummel, Stravinsky, Ravel, and Tchaikovsky. Naturally. I plan on majoring in bassoon performance in college (so soon!) and am so looking forward to the amazing opportunities that the music world has to offer.

Bassoon is not everything though. I have interests in religion, especially earth bound religions, and have ties to a Celtic Pantheism faith, and some influences from modern Neo-Paganism.

I welcome all opinions and give them a fair chance. And I love psychology, watching people, how and why they react to certain things.

I carry around a polaroid camera usually, taking pictures of things that I find beautiful…which seem to be a lot of things. :)

I'm a classic romantic in a generation of overwhelming garishness and disconcern. I'm also an exaggerator. A story teller. A comedian. All in the same.

I love to make friends, and despite the fact that this entire passage is all about me, I much more enjoy hearing about what others have to say. I'm always open to anyone that needs a listener.
